Update on PI Insurance for 2025-26

ABC Insurance is receiving very strong interest.
ABC is ready and keen to provide you with a quote, however we are unable to do so until the NSW Attorney General’s decision is finalised.
We realise that this is very frustrating, however it is beyond our control.
As a rough guide, based on the inquiries we have been receiving, our premiums for $2 million of primary cover will be significantly less than is available in the market on average.
We are aware that the Attorney General of NSW has obtained independent advice confirming that ABC’s PI insurance policy meets the objective standards in s 210(1) of the Legal Profession Uniform Law, including the minimum standards.
In addition, our policy is broader and includes inquiries cover plus other cover not available in the market.
We will be able to provide a quote as soon as we receive approval from the Attorney General. We will keep you informed.

- Write to the Attorney General of NSW in support of approval of ABC Insurance’s policy as soon as possible, e.g. by email to office@daley.minister.nsw.gov.au
- Write to the Council of the Law Society of NSW to urge active support for competition and to clarify whether Lawcover Insurance’s policy meets the minimum standards, e.g. by email to lawsociety@lawsociety.com.au

Significantly improved cyber cover is also available from ABC Insurance, with limits up to $3 million.
